You don't explain where to transfer the files to on the server very clearly..do you create a news folder on the 1and1 server and drop in there or what? You seem to have a folder ready made?

@aderander Yes- You have to have a MySQL database et up, get it with the Dual Basic package.

That "my sql" section doesn't show up in my control center, I guess I don't have it in the contract/package that I have (the most basic one...). Is it necessary? Can I do without it?

There is something wrong wiht my My MSQL database... O.O i installed it 4 tiems and worked now trying to download it for one of my clients and it's fucked.
