This is a lullaby composed by Jacques Jurgens upon the birth of the daughter of his cousin and her husband. It was composed as a fugue. Do you like it? Please comment!

  • Wow! Is this a foretaste of heaven? Sounds so rich and and full of surprises in the harmony. The true counterpoint spirit was with you! Bravissimo!

  • Wow! What an inspiring comment! I really love getting feedback like this, as any composer would! Thank you so much!

  • Magnificent, but it would be even better if you performed this with a full symphony orchestra.

But now I feel like going to sleep again.

  • LOL! Then you can read this when you wake up ;-).

Thanks for your comment! Yes, I would love for this to be performed by an orchestra!

For this video, I decided to use a synthesized sound that would fit the soothing idea of the lullaby. The artificial string orchestra sounds don't quite get the feeling across ;-).

  • very beautiful music.

  • Thanks! It's great to know that others find my music pleasing. I will post more soon!
