I have the purple one and it works for me. I think it works best if you have really thick hair. Metal is worse for your hair than ceramic though.

I got the 1 inch ceramic purple hot tools and loooove it. Glad I saw your vid, I was going to get a conair and I think the hot tools is a lot nicer. Got it for $25 on amazon!

I am wondering if the purple just works better for some people depending on hair type. I have medium, sort of coarse hair and it works great.
