I used to have an 89 two door but i had to trade it in when the engine blew. I got a 2001 and I still have it but i miss my two door

not as capable as xterra? you got to be kidding! Pathfinders are Nissan's top of the line off-road vehicle.

the newer ones are lower, made for comfort, but they are pretty capable. if all esle fails you could lift it a bit.

I just got a stock 2000 pathfinder. How much offroading can I do with it stock?

Quite a bit! Many will argue that the 96-04 model (R50) isn't as capable as the older models, but they are still quite capable in the dirt. Check out NPORA (linked in the video info), we have all the information you could ever want about off roading your pathfinder.

the R50 isnt as capable because it was designed from the outset as a soft roader, not an off roader like the D21 was.

True, but that doesn't mean that it can't hold it's own off road. While it's not as good as the WD21 or Xterra, it's still a good option for those who only go off roading every once in a while.
