  • DT has demostrated that they are expressive and melodic both in a complex and in a simple way. Just the best musicians in the world.

  • If successful means "shitty mainstream" like DT`s last 5 albums then you are right...And don`t talk about Rudesses presence cause exactly it turned DT into an unlistenable volcano of what you called it "epicness"! ;)

  • @yurivarbanov more precence and epicness in dream theater**

  • @yurivarbanov but there's one huge difference... they did chroma key and that stuff because they dont have a succesful band like dream theater... so it was their necesity. jordan has very good solo albums. i know that derek and kevin are awesome musicians, im only saying that jordan has more precence and epicness that derek and kevin. i respect their solo works and i love Chroma key and OSI

  • @ultimatezero00 He may be better technically than Derek and Kevin but as a musician he is millions of miles behind them! ;) Just compare Chroma Key and Derek`s solo works with Jordan`s and you`ll understand!

  • @MIKEPORNTOY @danimal09752 Jordan Rudess > Derek Sherinian

  • @MlKEPORNTOY Derek...not Dirk....

  • Mike Portnoy = best DT drummer

  • Dirk Sherinian = best DT keyboardist

  • @Ben802 My answer would be: "FUCK, OF COURSE, I WOULD LIKE!", DT should try to combine this kind of stuff with their more complex and technical songs!.

  • DT's best "non-Prog" song (it's not a "ballad", and "Hollow Years" would get that title) and unfortunately something I highly doubt they'd be able to write currently... there are no 5-minute solo/unison/harmony runs in it. ;-)

  • @BarbarosDerby132 I agree about the majority of the newer music, but most of their catalog is not that way.

  • @EndeavorLeadGtr the problem is, their new music is not driven by feel. It's musical gymnastics and nothing more. The criticism is valid and well deserved. There are those who reinvent and move forward, than there are those who regress. No one in their right mind would question their musicianship, but to question their new music is once again valid and not devoid of merit.

  • @TheGodofguitar17 This song was written during the Falling Into Infinity sessions.... released later as part of Falling Into Infinity Demos

  • In this gig you can see the smallest drum kit MP had in his entire carreer with DT!!

  • @TheGodofguitar17 Cleaning out the closet. It was release (exclusively i think) for the members of Dream Theater International Fan Club in 1999.

  • would love to see this song in their next tour sets

  • looks like it's pretty 'plugged' to me

  • The good old "World Domination" Picasso Ibanez

  • what album is this song orgninally written on? i want it on my ipod

  • @Dunford00 LaBrie wrote the lyrics to this one. Great tune.

  • Thank you for that "unplugged" video! It's a whole new dimmension of DT that's opening up for me, although I am a fan for almost ten years now.

And I still think, that Sherinian was a great impulse for the band that time.

  • 2 min 06 sec ,mike , great expression
