  • At least you didn't get that thing up to full speed. When this siren is run full out it squeals like the high-pitched electronic sirens that are used on emergency vehicles nowadays. I prefer the standard pitch model 28 myself.

  • I agree with you, too high of a pitch to be really effective. The rotor has such low mass I was afraid of overspeeding the armature and damaging the windings.

  • Holy hell, the 28 is high enough. This is even higher, how can it carry past even a bush!? 2001 with double the voltage much? Anyway, still a Federal and that makes it good :D

  • The screech these made are a really an attention getter...for the sake of the headphones I am wearing, i'm kind of glad you didn't wind her up.

    If my memory prevails, some of the guys used these on POVs (vol.fire dept.)up in wyoming back in the 1980s.
