Give the kid a break. He's at least trying. Which is a helluva lot more than can be said for most of his generation. And the one before his. And the one before that. And, he's not out on the street becoming a future criminal.

Yeah, the knot is old, probably older than anybody on youtube, but, he found it like the first person that did it found it...ON HIS OWN. Using his own sense of creation and self-determination.

Ignore the negativity kid, it looks pretty cool. Looking at the final product it looks like if you twisted each end in opposite directions it would resemble DNA, and being a science nerd that's pretty cool in my book!

I love the knot/weave that you have here. The big knot guy on Youtube is TIAT and I recall a comment where he claimed to have discovered to secret to knots in general. You have done the same with this one specific knot by yourself. Be proud and say discovered instead of invented so the whinners can find someone else to complain about. Some simple yet amazing things like fire, knots, weaves, math, electricity aren't invented, they are just there naturally to be discovered and rediscovered.
