  • so much energy!!!

  • Thanks for this. I had to add this cut to Tenor Madness even though it is by Mccoy. It is my all time favorite Joe Henderson solo. The cut is killer and Joe is just smokin' from beginning to end. Incredible stuff!!

  • maledetta pubblicità, maledetta pubblicità, maledetta pubblicità

  • Thanks for sharing

  • McCoy is swinging and doing an advanced harmonic thing here. I reaaly love Elvin Jones here too. Elvin swings hard without over powering. He remains in control of the drums.Joe Henderson is respectful of Trane and even tries to imitate John. This is a fine recording of Passion Dance.

  • this is the first time I hear McCoy Tyner. Well, now I can say I've lost my virginity (and I had and EARGASM). Thank yall folks!

p.s.: my english is bad, I know. I'm Brazilian.

  • I really like this, I wonder how coltrane would sound on this piece

  • I love the atonal runs of his scale, one of the greatest jazz pianists with a solid musical personality. God bless you Mr. Tyner.

  • Have had this in my car's CD player some 90% of the time over the past 5 years at least! LOVE 4ths (obviously!) and Tyner's fearless aggression that yet is absolutely not *over*powering or vain. God, I love his harmonic depth and complete and utter swing! My first exposure to McCoy was via Coltrane's take on My Favorite Things (the 13 minutes and change rendition on a "best of" album), and he's been my favorite ever since (despite having fallen big for Brubeck, Ibrahim, Terrasson, etc since).

  • groovy funky mccoy here ... great choice
