A machinima by Gary Hazlitt.
To honour the souls of Buddhist monks and others who have perished in Burma in these last days, Dr Richard James Allen (inworld in Second Life: RichardJamesJiva Allen) read from The Tibetan Book of the Dead to 35 avatars in the build of Thursday's Fictions in Second Life on Friday October 5, 2007.
The Bardo Thodol, or The Tibetan Book of the Death, is a text traditionally read to the dying and the dead as a guide in their passage through the 'bardo' or intermediate state before they are reborn. Thursday's Fictions in Second Life, an online 3D immersive space that explores ideas about reincarnation and karma, will offer a place for people from all of the world to meet virtually and pray.

Thankyou for this. Inspirational to see such initiatives... Please join with our sisters and brothers in Burma, by sending prayers of healing to them, their oppressive rulers and those who support the junta. troppochook has a little video dedicated to this, with a prayer commonly recited in Burma... Peace :)

Anyone that disrespects, or harms a Buddhist Monk is destined for a horrible life! The Buddhis Monks are the most gracious and peaceful people on earth !!! God is on the side of the Monks...watch out evil military!
