I'm a William Castle fan, and also a big fan of the original James Whale film....just saw this recently, and couldn't get over how bad it was.....not even 'good' bad either, just all over the place. Great cast, though.
Yes! This is the movie I saw when I was five years old! My parents couldn't remember the name of this movie and when I started asking about it on forums people must have thought I was crazy or dreamed it, It wasn't until just a few days ago when I finally found out the movie's name thanks to mr_ella_guru32 on IMDB's forums! (If you're reading, mr_ella_guru32, Thanks again!)
Thanks! Never saw the trailer before! Looks more scary in black & white. The movie was in beautiful COLOR!....always reminded me it should have been double-billed with "Munster Go Home"!! Though "The Old Dark House" is 10 times better!

This has very little to do with the great novel on which it's based nor with the James Whale-directed '30s movie version.
By the way, the original newspaper ads for this one read,"It's screwy nail-chewy!"
