Statement of Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him):
"O Allah, don't hold me responsible for that which they say, make me better then that which they think of me.
And forgive me for that which they don't know."
اللهم لا تؤاخذني بما يقولون ، واجعلني خيرًا مما يظنون واغفر لي ما لا يعلمون
27769- عن الأصمعى قال : كان أبو بكر إذا مدح قال اللهم أنت أعلم منى بنفسى وأنا أعلم بنفسى منهم اللهم اجعلنى خيرا مما يظنون واغفر لى ما لا يعلمون ولا تؤاخذنى بما يقولون (العسكرى فى المواعظ) [كنز العمال 35704]
أخرجه أيضًا : البيهقى فى شعب الإيمان (4/228 ، رقم 4876) . قلت : لم أقف عليه في الشعب منسوبا للصديق ).
وجاء في مصنف ابن أبي شيبة - (ج 7 / ص 242)
35703 - حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا مبارك قال حدثنا بكر عن عدي بن أرطأة عن رجل كان من صدر هذه الأمة قال كانوا إذا أثنوا عليه فسمع ذلك قال اللهم لا تؤاخذني بما يقولون واغفر لي ما لا يعلمون
وليس فيه التصريح باسم أبي بكر رضي الله تعالى عنه
لكن صح في الأدب المفرد [ جزء 1 - صفحة 267 ]
761 - حدثنا مخلد بن مالك قال حدثنا حجاج بن محمد قال أخبرنا بن المبارك عن بكر بن عبد الله المزني عن عدي بن أرطأة قال كان الرجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا زكي قال : اللهم لا تؤاخذني بما يقولون واغفر لي ما لا يعلمون .
قال الشيخ الألباني : صحيح .

@Hurk01 I missed to meet him too, but I make dua to Allah to meet all the scholars with our noble prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaishis salam along with my family in the jannatul firdaus.

@only1way2truth I wish I could understand Arabic like u so that I can directly listen to the shaykh instead of reading subtitle or translated books.

I love Shaykh Albani for the sake of allah. May Allah grant him jannatul firdaus (ameen). Regarding the video, it really made my eyes crying. Please would you upload the who lecture with English subtitle.
