  • @RIchardEPfeifer who the fuck is Al Jolson

  • @spacemeddle I know you don't like the idea but guys like Fank Sinatra and Bing Crosby were gracious enough to get out of the way of the kids. ( Who would I prefer to listen to? Not KW! ) - but I can see the hippies have hogged the stage for 3 generations now - refused to get out of the way of my generation - now they 60 - 70 year old men and are not gracious enough to let today's kids do it!

  • @spacemeddle Face it. To millions of kids Lesh is just a nobody old man, way past his prime. In 1970 did people btch that the Bealtes and the Dead got more attention than AL Jolson??? Face it. That was you are like - An Al Jolson fanatic in 1970 - refusing to listen to the Beatles, Dylan or the Stones because - "Al Jolson is the best, man"!

  • Kanye West has never mattered to me and he means even less to me now.

  • Kanye in my eyes is the biggest piece of shit on this planet what a cocky son of a bitch douchebag, I hope he gets ran over by a concrete truck that fuck, NOBODY! makes musical genius and innovator Phil Lesh, stop his set. Who the fuck does Kanye think he is, dumb scunt. Phil Lesh has more talent in an atom located on his pinky, than Kanye will ever dream to have. Fuck that Taylor Swift business, Kanye should have made a public apology to Phil.

  • @jimaroo100 in reading his book right now and im learning a lot from it. Phil probably isnt the best(He is in my books) but he definetly innovated it because at the time there were few rock bass players that stood out. A great musician overall!

  • @HoDG3 What happened with Kanye?

  • when Phil joined with Jerry, Bob, and Bill to begin a band together...they of course needed a bass player...guess what Phil had never played bass but he was a highly trained musician - so he didnt have any of the preconceptions of how a bass fit in.... that's part of the reason he is so unique... he is also incredibly creative.

  • Follow your ears, Phil!!
