Hey man. nice vid! im having issues though. ive been fighting with this cross fade thing for like an hour! Im working on my vocal track and it wont let me crossfade at all! the tool wont work. when i click to crossfade it just grabs the audio file and moves it. but i did find that some of my tracks let me use the crossfade and others wont.? any idea what im doing wrong? im getting pissed ha

Hi Dojodin... I dont have version 9 yet but there seems to be some improvement.... And about this "ways of the fade" tutorial. It was very nice from you to answer somebodys question about fading like this. Good work!

Hi Dojodin. Nice basics. Sadly this fading on logic is a bit ancient. I use Sony Vegas for Videoediting. These Audio and video fades in there is so fast and easy to do compared to logic. I hope that some day people from logic team wakes up and stop inventing the tire again ;) Keep on going Dojodin!

SuurJuomari, I'm not familiar with how Vegas operates, but I do use Final Cut, and I find the audio fading used in the program (key framing) is a really cumbersome version of automation in audio specific DAWs. You should send in a recommendation to R&D at these companies. Who knows, they may develop based on your comments.
