If you are confused about drink sizes at Starbucks, it's best to just say SHORT or TALL.

  • Thank you..that is awesome. I work at starbucks (got help me) and we've actually taken to telling particularly annoying customers who need further exclamation on the tall/small thing to look it up on youtube. If any of them actually do I really hope they find your video...You have no idea how many times a day I want to tell people that they are too stupid to come to starbucks and to pls leave. we also joke there should be a stupidity charge, like how we charge extra for soy or flavour shots.

  • Thanks. I don't say it in the video, but I've been a barista since 1994 and have worked about 20 different locations (about 10 of them Starbucks). At one place I worked at there was someone who would hit a button every time a customer ended an order with "I'm from Seattle". The button toggled tax to 10%. Not right, but still not as wrong as flaunting stupid all day. He'd also charge for every last modifier and not budge when they'd say "it's just one pump, they never charge me for that!"

  • I don't think it's necessary to be rude to people who don't understand this, people who are new to Starbucks are often confused by the names because they all sound big.

Here in Chile if you go to any Starbucks you can see that there are 6 different sizes. Short, Tall, Grande, Venti. And the size for Espresso and the sample size.

  • Haha that's great, they should re-label the button "Stupidity" and install it on every cash register in America.

  • Thank you. I needed that. I am a Starbucks employee and I get tired of people making a big deal about what we call our sizes. Like that Dunkin Donuts commercial (like they're even competition) the "dieci" one. If you call our venti a large, trust me, I,m not getting all butt hurt. There are bigger concerns in my day.

  • You're my hero. Love the attitude. I'm glad someone finally made a video about this. The ignorance of uninformed Starbucks patrons is just pathetic.

Another thing that gets me is when people complain about the prices in line or after ordering. If you don't like the prices, GET OUT. It's that simple. They don't need you.

  • that might well be. but if you are not a member of the starbucks clan and just want to have a medium sized coffe, you will probably think that the Starbuck sizes are a bit stupid, wouldn't you. But hey, you don't need te be a moron for the rest of your life. Just join the community.

  • I didn't know that. Though it's nice to know the origin of the size "Venti". It's just 20 in Italian (or spanish maybe? I know it's Vinte in Portuguese).

    Good video :)

  • Brilliant video!

  • They don't suck, in fact, Starbucks rules. The customer service there is great. Often when I go in to order a short white mocha, they will give me a tall and only charge me for a short. Pretty sweet, eh?
