  • Steadycam is a skill you cannot learn from books, you just have to try and try. I have built my steadycam from a small tripod that came with telescope.

  • This is true.

H ave a gimbal your home built steadycam? The secret of this skill is the gimbal.

    sacou?

  • A very effective trick it is using a tripod as a camera stabilizer though I do prefer to use my Cam Caddie SCorpion. It's very comfortable and effective and I can add lights if I need to. It only cost me $38 and it's changed all my videos for the better.

  • I do my effect by holding my tripod upside down at full length with the camera on, hold it close to the ground and walk at an even pace, then flip the image by 180 degress in windows movie maker.

  • Good job!

  • very impressive!

  • Excelente !!!!

    Mandou ver!

  • Unfortunately not on this baby. I am thinking to build a new, more portable one for my movie project in Japan, but the problem is how to transport it, not as a carry on luggage for sure..

I think to buy a cheap monopod from Japan and then add some weight to it. Are there any monopods with gimbals?

    Your steadycam video rocks!
