wow. is this the best these successful writers can do with OUR children? in addition to bigging up gentrification? william almost standing up for himself after he experiences white stereotypical attitudes towards black people he looks down on, but gives up & sells out some more after expressing contempt for wetland legislation (demonstrating that he's a "conservative" that values profits over human and animal ability to breathe and have water)? what lesson can we learn from all this? nothing
