Rush's "Natural Science" on bass - LRRG

OK, so I did not do this video today. In fact, I did about a month and a half ago, but I posted it on youplayalong.com because youtube would not accept Rush tunes. From what I hear, WMG has signed a contract with youtube, and now Rush is fair game once again. Thanks guys...glad you finally understand this medium can help you if you let it.

So I am posting this video of an epic rush tune off of "Permanent Waves". Yes, I realize that I play it differently than Geddy does...is there anything Geddy does that I play the same? And I even go a step further to make Rush purists angry by using the dreaded pick for this tune. What can I say? for one, I am no Geddy, and for two, I don't claim to be anyone but myself, warts and all. As usual, there are some rhythm discrepancies here and there as well as the occasional flubbed note.

So let's hope this stays up...and if so, there are a few more to come...some oldies that were ripped down from youtube during the "copyright wars"

Metallica haters are losers. Megadeth hasnt acheived even half the success of Metallica and theres a reason why they havent. They blow hardcore. They've got like 3 or 4 good songs and the rest are ratpiss. Dave mustaince is a medicre guitar player and a horrible vocalist. That's my honest opinion without being biased to Metallica. @Sartori Yeah Chris is awesome. He actually plays with a thumb-pick technique.. His thumb hits the string a milli-second before his pick does.. Really innovative

@FlyinTonite pick or finger it doesnt matter they are all good i play with my fingers because i like the tone better but i like the tone of a bass thats picked too just depends on my mood i've been playing for 5 yrs and have never felt that i need to play one way or the other
