The European Court of Human Rights has ruled in favour of a German citizen, after finding he was an innocent victim of extraordinary rendition by the CIA. Macedonia was ordered to pay Khaled el-Masri $78,000 on Thursday for arresting him and handing him over to the US in December 2003. El-Masri spent five months in secret CIA jails for suspected links to armed Islamist groups. Al Jazeera's Nick Spicer reports from Berlin.

The CIA is responsible for so many coups, murders and experiments on people. I hope the CIA is held responsible for a great more things in the future.

So, the CIA are not nice people? ;-)

Thank GOD for WikiLeaks & Julian Assange!

Now that we know what really goes on...are we brave enough to take our world back?

You are right democracy has its failings because when people are voting most of them they are not sure why they are voting, for instance if you interview voters, you will get many opinion, and most of these opinions doesn't make sense some will tell you they just want a change, some will tell you they like how the candidate dresses, some will say he is white or black, some will say he hate specific group. No body talks about the capability and the nature of the candidate.

That is exactly my point, true democracy is meant to give"all a voice/a chance to choose",irrespective of disposition, it is not meant to give any particular sector of society the upper hand or a louder say.Having said that, the party who wins any election in any democracy tend to push its own agenda forward, its a case of,"you can please some the people some the time, you can please some of the people all the time but, you can't please all the people all of the time",democracy has its failings.

Morsi is not forcing anyone but he says people should vote the new constitution so that is democracy in practice. The opposition against Morsi they are against the vote because they know they will lose. Most of Morsi suports are the peasants and working classes around the suburbs and villages. These people fed up the corruptions from upper and middle classes. Islamic system reinforce upper and middleclasses to pay the Zakat so poor people can be helped.

It is difficult to remain optimistic; Politics & Tribal behaviour are very inter linked no matter were you live in the World, I remember when Sadat was assassinated & Mubarak took power, look what happened to him in the end, even Morsi has failed to recognise that Islamic Faith can run side by side with a Democratic Government without betraying God or the people, and in the process placed his own karma in jeopardy, the real heroes are the ordinary people who always do the right thing in the end.

Arabs were ruled before by tyrant regimes but from now it will be ruled by tyrant crowds. When people are not happy about foriegn policy of the leader he will be replaced. Before Americans used puppets like Mubarak, Zain Abidin bin Ali but now this things are over and cold war era leaders are gone. By the way I am not optimistic about the UN, because I here from them words but there is no action.

I agree the settlement from 67 to the present day are illegal and the Palestinians are continuously mistreated by Israel & her US supporters. I mentioned the UN vote simply because it illustrates that a change is taking place, I am hopeful that the Palestinians will find ways via the UN to change World support for Israel; more & more the World is seeing Israel for the criminal that it is.

It is just a shame the Arab Nations can not put their differences aside and come together on the issue.
