LOL how is that a challenge!?!?? The hornet beats that thing hands down. This is not a "race" at all, it is just glorifying the shockwave. Althought the shockwave IS really cool. Shockwave goes 300mph or so. Hornet goes about 1500mph. No contest.

I thought I saw a video once where the Hornet started on the ground with afterburner, and the race was almost a dead heat.

@F15Eaglejet1 the f-18C cannot go twice the speed of sound , its top speed is mach 1.8 thats about 1200 mph
