No its THINLY THINLY THINLY based off the first book and even then it is to say the least only got one thing that is from book in it...

Yeah they show Arya leaving at the end. Eragon was susposed to go with her.

he did cut Eragon's back, but he had no flying steed in the book, and the book's better than either the movie or the game.

Yeah, they didn't mention Oromis (or whatever his name is) once, and now that's half the second book gone. They even skipped Eragon's wound, and that's the rest.
