  • A moment to remember the great jazz composer/arranger Calvin Massey. These are soulful days indeed.

  • The first time I heard this I had to sit down. I played it again and had tears comin' outta my eyes it was so beyond amazing, beyond incredible. It was just past comprehension that something like this could have musically happened. I play it a lot - I always play this to just glimpse the impossible - just feel the impossible with my ears.

  • Always been one of my favourite Hubbard songs!

  • Wooow, speechless....

  • Hub is my favorite tpt player. That's it, end of story. And this line-up (with a few variations of position) is my favorite. You have a few guys who fill the roles on these type sessions, and they own it all. Carter, Workman, Chambers, Cranshaw, Warren etc on bass; Hub, Morgan, Shaw, Byrd on tpt; Walton, Hancock, Tyner, Pearson on piano; etc..great stuff.

  • Fantastic LP - I can't believe it was recorded in 1962, but not released until 1979! What a terrible thing to do to jazz lovers all over the world...
