"In 1979 NBC commissioned a miniseries adaptation in partnership with the BBC, The Martian Chronicles. The adaptation was written by Richard Matheson and was directed by Michael Anderson. The series star was Rock Hudson as 'Wilder', with Darren McGavin as 'Parkhill', Bernadette Peters as 'Genevieve Selsor', Bernie Casey as 'Jeff Spender', Roddy McDowall as 'Father Stone', and Barry Morse as 'Hathaway', and Fritz Weaver. Bradbury found the miniseries "just boring."
Well for me the series were not boring, you can't compare theme with the series of books by Bradbury, but i think that for TV is an average fun miniseries....The music comes from Legowelt's album: "Astro Cat Disco" (2006): "Romantic Overture" and "Disco Bitch". I hope you like it!!!! Please Comment!!!!

Hey csn82. I remember seeing this TV as a kid. At the time I thought it was cool. I read the book and everything.
It has held up over the years better than other stuff of its time.
