@599emeMan Surely God is not a man... He is spirit. But to say that he could not appear as a man, is to attempt to limit His power. Genesis 18 says that God appeared to Abraham at Mamre, then it tells how that He did. This was the same "man" that Jacob wrestled with.. as he said, "I have saw God face to face and am still alive." And Gideon, and Moses, and everyone else who "saw" God.
