The US cannot afford to add another $60,000,000,000 to the deficit. Tax cuts for the rich need to be allowed to expire. Follow me on twitter - http://www.twitter.com/gingerninja007

  • Voice your opinion...but, you do have alot of self-educating to do in order to see reality.

As for your "$500 check"...Bush did this, nothing happened...A healthy economy isnt based on consumption, nor theft from todays working class or from the future generation...lets not even discuss the theft from the middle and lower class via inflation - ultimately increasing the number of people living in "poverty"...

Government is not the answer, Government IS the problem.

    Educate yourself.

  • @helltrackrider I'm not really sure what you want me to say to you. The whole $500 check this is really just more of a way to show how much money we're wasting by giving tax breaks to the rich. And you're incorrect when it comes to taxes. First of all, this cut doesn't deal with corps, it deals with individuals. So, letting the rich people's tax cuts expire would not hurt our deficit, it would help it. As for major companies like GE, they pay a whopping 0% in taxes.

    Educate yourself.

Again...look at history and the effects of tax cuts / increases...and yes, this does effect corporations as the difference in percentage points could be seen as reinvestment into the company...alot more factors at play than just percentage points in the overall scheme of things...which brings me to this, the CBO - where you get your info from - isnt allowed, by rule, to factor in anything except the percentage points...so, obviously, it seems as the US will lose money.

  • @helltrackrider Man, this does not affect corporations. If you want to make the argument that people will invest in companies (I'm assuming you mean by purchasing stocks) then lets be honest, who messes with stock, poor people, or wealth people? Poor people are more concerned with their job that pays minimum wage, which is apparently "too generous" according to Republicans. Take a look at the past and you'll see tax cuts for the wealthy have not stimulated or helped our economy in any way.

  • @MrGingerNinja007

Recent history refutes your claim...tax cuts under Reagan and under Bush Jr produced a much more fertile environment for creating jobs --- as the money was able to be reallocated into the private sector; as opposed to being stolen from the private sector and missallocated to the banking elite and defense contractors by our retarded Government...

Somewhere around 16 million were created under Reagan while Bush had well over 4 years of positive job creation in the economy.

  • @helltrackrider I'm sorry, I just think you're incorrect on this issue. Are you familiar with base rates? The question when it comes to Bush and Reagan tax cuts is was the job growth higher than the base rate? That is, what would have happened without tax cuts? I'm going to send you a link.

  • @helltrackrider "Government is not the answer, Government IS the problem", hmm funny how that mantra became popular right after Wall Street, banks, big business got their bailout and the government wanted more accountability. Your nothing but a shill, or worse. You might actually believe the shit you're spewing. Sad

  • Show me a 20 year old that is not a liberal, and I will show you a 20 yr old with no heart, show me a 40 yr old who is still a liberal, and I will show you a 40 yr old with no brain. Politics -government - to a liberal is all about "who gets what", and as this young liberal displays, he wants to decide that. Conservatism, believes that the "individual" decides what they will get out of life - from hard work and risk taking. A college education is worth what one does with it.

  • @FreedomLovingMan1

We tried the "tax cuts for the wealthy, and they'll create jobs" for the last

10 years. Cut it to zero, and there are still no reasons to hire. If consumers

have no money, they can't go buy junk.

  • I have an idea? Why don't we just shoot all those evil rich people? Take all their money, and we will have a workers paradise? How about that, comrade? Would that make you feel better?

  • @bonzomanTheAwesome What data can you produce that proves tax cuts cause recessions? Prove what you are saying. And then prove (with actual data) how massive tax hikes will save us all. Again, the burden of proof is on you.

  • @MrGingerNinja007

Now...were Bush and Reagan good Presidents?...absolutely not.

Personally, and the belief of the founders, the income tax is theft - immoral - and illegal...but, we have ignorant Progressive / Communist / Imperialist influenced politicians that feel the income tax is necessary...rather than limiting spending to represent a some-what moral, voluntary tax code (excise taxes and minimal tariffs)...

Income tax IS theft...anyway you want to look at it, it is immoral.

  • @MrGingerNinja007

Seems everyone wants to point the finger at the "rich"...when, in fact, the "rich" are the ones paying the majority of the tax revenue ... in the Reagan era, the top 10% of income earners paid 40% of the total income tax - today, the top 10% pay well over 70% ... while almost 50% of workers pay NOTHING.

So, how is raising the taxes on the "rich" fair?...why not raise taxes on the the ones who are not even paying?...wouldnt this be more fair?
