Teraminx v2

The newly designed Teraminx is smaller, lighter and turns MUCH smoother and looser than the V1. This puzzle stands 9.5cm tall and is designed to fit perfectly in the palm on your hands!

I built the 2 samples during one sleepless weekend (last week)

This time I was able to time my progress.

Build Time:

Building mold base..........................5 hours
mix/pour silicon...............................2 hours
Casting parts...................................6 hours
Cleaning parts.................................6-7hours
Assembly.......................................4 hours
Painting..........................................2 hours
Drying paint....................................72 hours
Sticker Application..........................2 hours

The above times are the duration per SINGLE puzzle. Luckily another puzzle can be taken care of while others are waiting for a task to be done. But phew, its a lot of work!

The downside to this specific build is that I used Polyjet masters which were exactly proportioned to the 3d model. and the molds, and resin have a shrinkage factor, which I believe resulted in making the puzzle a bit too rattly and loose. however its still functional.

I will not be selling this version any time soon.
