Ford F Truck Fires: Lemon Law Recall

A faulty switch is being blamed for cars suddenly bursting into flames. Even though manufacturers have issued a recall, LemonLaw.com attorney Craig Kimmel suggests that manufacturers need to step up their recall communications with consumers to avoid what could potentially be a hazardous situation.

my 2001 ford ranger went up in flames yesterday... I had taken back to the dealer when they mailed out the recall... it was replaced... And it still went up........

Yes, my cruise control recall WAS FIXED and the vehicle still burned to the ground just like all the rest.

Some say the seal around the brake fluid reservoir leaks and shorts out the wiring. Others say the entire wiring harness is under rated. No one know but Ford.

Lawyers say, You'll win the blue book value and pay us that back in fees. Don't bother.

Whatever it is they all start with a plastic burning smell and Ford knows it. Hmm? Ford sounds like a bank Too Big To Fail....Go figure.

I was a juror on a trial that ended this week (5/26/2011). We determined that a truck fire that burned someone's garage & house down was caused by this same switch *after* it had gone through it's recall. Based on the expert testimony during that trial it was apparent to us that the recall fix isn't 100% effective. I'd recommend people not park their Ford in their garage if they have this poorly designed switch, even if it has the recall fix applied.

My son and his girlfriend burned to death in a Lincoln Mark VIII , Ford settled the wrongful death case with the passenger for 500K #Dykema Attorney's state they do not believe Payton died from the cruise control switch. #Alan Mulally has not done anything to help . Ford has not accepted any responsibility for Payton's death, and has even filed a 117K sanctions against mother Judge in Detroit agreed Mother was the worse in courtroom,&threaten to dismiss case. received recall 8 mths after 8-07
