@5355vbxjbj76rvn Dude, it's that attitude that's detrimental to science. Science is all about pushing boundries and benefitting humanity. For fuck sakes, do you honestly, think that people are just going to build a time machine based on no evidence? What would be the point in having a time machine that doesn't work?
This new-age san francisco quack Jack Sarfatti claims: -Star Trek warp-drive -Mental Telepathy between people who live in different times -Virtual reality that's unmistakable from reality -Virtual reality that transports your mind through you time -A computer that perfectly emulates the brain -Advanced brain-computer interfaces
He gives zero evidence. Does this guy have the slightest credibility? His wikipedia citation says "the article is likely to be ...deleted." Ha ha!
This fantasising about the non-existent methods of non-existent time-travel by non-existent time-travellers has about as much relation to science as the doings of Xenu the tyrant of Scientology. Scientists who theorise on no evidence whatever are a worse threat to science than creationists, because they look far more like real scientists, even though they are no such thing.
Back to the Matrix !!! Q chip = Brain , I cant see that happening any time soon. Time travel in the past- Busted ! Time travel in the future - I am still not convinced.
I think that this is the most important technology ever. When we get time travel solved and implemented, then potentially everyone will be alive at once. Provided we give time travel to other times, every 10 years or so. We will change time, sure, but all of a sudden we will be in the Star Trek era. We can have the best minds of all time working in one room on a given problem. We will live and vacation anywhere, anytime we choose.
