they are I got #1 for 3.00 #2 for 5.00 #3 for 10.00 and the xbox version of #4 for 15.00.

Trust me once you start to play these games you become a stealth kind of guy. I would recomend getting the first three. you could possibley skip #2. but you could start with Double Agent if you want. I recommend seeing the evolution of the series by playing the others. the first 2 should be real cheap too.

I haven't played any of the others either. Should I start with those ones, or just go ahead and buy this one?
NOTE: I am not that great at stealth games, so it would probably take me aaaages to beat the first 3.

agreed. start out with the 1st one. That one was great too. pandora tomorrow was...okay...? The 3rd one is where you are gonna enjoy the gamplay and the online.
