  • I wasn't saying I agreed with it, I was just stating a point of fact. Mozart concertos are performed far more regularly than Vivaldi concertos in the world at the moment. I'm not saying if it's right or wrong, just saying that it is.

I love Vivaldi, he writes incredible music. I would love to hear his work performed more regularly, but it's not, and as a point of that, it is Mozart who is probably more the Violin Concerto King

  • sorry,I don't agree with you. You know nothing about Vivaldi.Vivaldi should be the best, the undisputed Violin Concerto king. Mozart 's concertos' melodies are repeat and repeat.Boring!

  • Depends on what you consider better? Many might say that his concertos all followed the same form, nothing really innovative there. Might be a bit of an exaggeration, but they have a slight point. I don't think he's the violin concerto king - I think that probably has to go to Mozart as Vivaldi's concertos aren't really on the main spotlight anymore, where as Mozart still gets performed often.

But yes, he does sometimes write some incredible melodies, and beautiful writing, esp. for the violin
