The end of the 1998 documentary "Lost In Space Forever" features a short skit with Will, Dr. Smith and the Robot on the Jupiter 2. This is the behind the scenes footage of the making of that skit.
Thank you for posting this footage!! What a thrill to see my favorite characters from "Lost in Space" again. It was interesting seeing how Bill Mumy remembers his perspective of the ship when he was a kid. My Facebook profile is me posing with a replica of the Robot taken at Wonderfest 2011.
can youimagine on the last day of shooting the origina series, you could just walk off with any thing that you wanted, but seeing how so many of the props wound up on other shows, I guess they had a preety strict prop man who kept his eye on everything, especially other people hands (LOL)
I wish that when this special aired, they could have had Major West, Maureen, Judy, and Penny do that skit at the end with Will, Dr. Smith, and the robot, it would have been neat to have Don and Will trying to control the Jupiter 2 to try to get back to earth.
I'm 47, but every bit the 5 or 6 year old in the early 70's watching this, how totally exciting ! is this a set replica ? the astro navigator looks huge & no pistol grip.
where's that red ball near the air lock ..never saw this from a set point of view..Kewl!
This was really cool. Dr Smith was my favorite character. Everything here looks much like the original, especially the robot. Billy still looks pretty young, too.
Fantastic,,, thanks for posting.....
