Highest Bicycle Backflip - GWR Video of the Week 8th June 2011

On 27th March 2009, Ben Wallace (UK) achieved a backflip with a total height of 4.20m on the set of Guinness World Records Smashed at Pinewood Studios (UK).

Guinness World Records officials Marco Frigatti and Kris Teufel adjudicated on the day. We decided to set a maximum height for the ramp (1.80m) and measure the height from the top of the ramp instead. 1.80m was the height of the ramp at GWR Smashed. The total height then had the ramp height deducted so the record then stood at 2.4 m.

Ben has since travelled to China and in December 2010 he raised the bar even further for a current Guinness World Record of 2.80m. We're sure we haven't seen the last of him...
