Warburg Pincus LLC's 23% stake in Primerica Inc. (NYSE:PRI) didn't change the life insurer's business model, but its seal of approval may have played a big role in Citigroup Inc.' s successful spin-off of the unit, said Primerica co-CEO John Addison in this video interview with The Deal on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company's initial day of trading independently. Warburg "brought an anchor investor that did a lot of due diligence on our company," said Addison. "They're very smart people and studied the company. I think it sent a signal to the market that a very strong, reputable company was wanting to bet on the future of Primerica." Watch the video below or download it on iTunes. • Oh and to all the sour insurance agents on here, keep doing what you are doing as you keep us Primericans in Business.. Thank you ...

  • Listen guys .... to all the nay sayers I gather also Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, the 200 financial firms & WP as well as AM Best don't believe that a company that has taken the best of Corporate, MLM, and Franchise structures is doing it wrong. I really could give less than 2 cents about you OPINIONS as that is what they are, they prove nothing, they lack substance and actually show lack of intelligence and demonstrate ignorance - have a great day

  • @brassoadam believe it or not, alot of the skills a person would learn in primerica are used quit regularily in the sales industry..marketing, over coming objections, gettin people to buy into youand your vision ect are taught...recruiting,marketing,advertising,sales are all skills everyone uses in some form or another..yes,you could get a sales job and learn those skills, but then you would just be building equity for that company and not yourself...

  • @brassoadam here is the thing..just cause someone has chance to do something does not mean they will do it

  • @brassoadam if i had a deisire to learn science or engineering or any other field for that matter then yes i would work hard to be successfull

  • @carsonc29

But you work hard too, so why shouldn't you get a slice of the pie?

  • @carsonc29

I would not want to own a business that my next door neighbor could also have.

  • @carsonc29

Question is are you thick skinned enough to work your way into a better field like science and engineering (my field, and guess what NO Degree just work ethic).

  • @carsonc29

Likewise, if you would rather sign up for a "sales pitch" than take skills from an employer to start your own company later then have at it as long as you keep scoring the field goals in the game of reality (life). Who wouldn't want to enjoy the benefit of being your own boss?

  • @brassoadam very h appy to hear you have a "real" job...if you prefer to have someone else dictating how much money your going to make and what you can afford to do in your life than hey, thats might be just right for you

  • The only prime I know is Primerib because I now have a real job.

  • @derrickjenkins

How can I get one of your PrepaidLeavem shirts?
