Well I liked Maniac Mansion at least. I can't believe so many people hated it. Is it just fans of the game who didn't like that the show isn't in any way similar?

This is odd opening. Most comdedy TV shows showed individual cast members with them doing goofy stuff and then showing who was the actor or actress who played them. This felt like a movie opening

It was an okay show but it had almost nothing to do with the computer game. Not even sure why they called it Maniac Mansion.

This is a twist. Normally, it's the game based off the TV show that sucks. In the case of Maniac Mansion, it's the other way around.

I remember how excited I was to hear about this show, being an avid fan of the game myself. It was SUCH a dissappointment.. I dont think I ever sat through one full episode. If it wasnt for the loose references to the game, (ie: the names) I wouldnt have known the two were related.

I totally agree. I was thrilled to hear about it being made, and I loved Joe Flaherty, but what a let down! I mean, Harry the fly? PLEASE! Although I though it was nice when Dr. Fred made mention of the TV show in "Day of the Tentacle". LucasArts always had a great sense of humor...Back in the day.
