So true. Marlene was fantasic in this scene. The clip itself was clever and well written (just like the entire film) with kick ass acting. Love this movie.

This scene is so clever with irony and just very smarty acted. To those who don't know communism, or read books as Howard Beale would say, the humor will go right over their heads.

Does nobody recognize a young Tim Robbins to the left of the Great Ahmed Khan.

Has to be the best scene in the movie as it captures sectarianism and infighting of the radical left in very 70s style brilliantly and I LOVE the line: 'The Communist Party's not gonna see a nickel of this goddamn show until we go into syndication!'

"You fucking fascist! Did you see the film we made of the San Marino jail breakout demonstrating the rising up of the seminal prisoner class infrastructure?!!"
"You can blow the seminal prisoner class infrastructure out your ass!"
Now THAT'S WRITING, and delivery at 200 MPH!!!!!!!!

I love this scene. It's absolutely hilariously antithetical. 'Man, give her the fuckin' overhead clause.' - Chayefsky was a legend!

I wonder why UBS would give the title "The Mao Tse-Tung Hour" to a series about the IRA.
Everyone talks about the Peter Finch scenes, but this is my favorite scene in the film! Marlene Warfield is the ish! Very underrated actress. She was also a major scene-stealer in "The Great White Hope". Also, the "kidnapped heiress" is Walter Cronkite's daughter.

Everyone knows the Mad as Hell speech, but its segments like this that make this movie so great. Love this scene!
