I saw Mikes fatal accident at OCIR in 1968. Defective clutch parts was the cause I believe. Another great racer lost, sorry to say.

Skinner and Jobe were chemists ahead of their time. And Mike Sorokin could sure drive. At this meet, the Surfers ran an off-the-trailer 7.34, the quickest offical e.t. in drag racing history. R.I.P. Mike Sorokin.
