Title says it all. No one showed dispresect to anyone serving in the military, and no one insulted anyone who lost his/her life in war. To suggest otherwise is simply pathetic and dishonest.

I can't believe canadian tv would twist this!
Hell, even spend time on it!
One "comment" read was "why do we even care what they think? - and the reader even said GOOD COMMENT!
So the newscast lied, then agreed they don't care?
How embarrasing for the station.

Canoodlians get a little snow in their national vagina and they throw a hissy fit that will embarrass canoodlians for 10 generations. Gone are the brave Canadians that fought in WWI, WWII, Korea and volunteered to fight in the US military in Vietnam. Today canoodlia is populated by morons that urinate on their national war memorial and then complain about a few lame jokes from a late night satirical news show on a network they claim they never watch.
Canoodlians are cowards.

Well look at what has happened recently, we didn't allow British MP George Galloway into the country to speak due to the message he conveys and who he supports publicly. Trust me, we are more liberal then you but we still have the same mindset.

It wasnt my intention to say it was the US who caused the casualities, obviously that blame lies on the hands of the insurgency, Im merely saying forces were thinned which made all troops more vulnerable. Unless your French or German sunbathing in Kabul. Canada voluntarily escalated their role, just as Al Qaeda and the Taliban escalated their offensives.

I think we can reserve the right to be a little bitchy, a little humorless a little stuck up when it comes to a jackass on tv taking a swipe at us. Ofcourse, this show doesnt represent Americans, like our overreacting news programs dont represent me. Did I take offence to the comments, yes. Just like you took offence to the attention they got, and the comments that immature jackass Canuck teens have said on here.

Yes, it's done in a politically incorrect way, but that's just the norm for this light-hearted late night cable comedy show, apparently. If only Canadians would show the same outrage when it comes to fundamentalist Islamic terrorists as they do with a few politically incorrect humorists south of the border.
sndblstr 2 years ago
Im sorry how are Canadians not outraged by fundamentalist Islamic terrorists?
SharkmanSIX 2 years ago
Well, I hope that Canadians are outraged. I seem to hear more US bashing than anything else. Tom Green swears and gets so worked up and curses some little comedy show, the national news media treats the incident like a major affront, etc. Where are the displays of outrage directed towards our shared enemy? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but it seems to be lacking.

The thing that I find most outrageous is how this news report opens with scenes of a funeral service, then shamefully suggests that some Americans don't take these deaths seriously. This is an inexcusable mischaracterization. Also, throughout this "news" piece there are several gratuitous shots taken at a competing (and more influential) news netowrk. Seems a bit petty and unprofessional.
sndblstr 2 years ago
This Canadian news report is not objective (or even honest) journalism. Now I see why some Canadian networks have the reputation for being so slanted (often to the left, against the US, etc.) and for not being ashamed to engage in distortion. This is supposed to be hard news, yet the reporters seem to be enjoying taking shots at a competing network and also seem to think it's their job to return insults back to the US while complaining of being insulted by some comedians. It's pathetic.
