@VeganWTF that was the show I went to! Yep.. It's a shame I treated that show the way I did. Had no idea what I was witnessing. I didn't say they were shitty at the show though.. I think I just bitched and moaned saying I wanted to leave but my parents wanted to stay.
Yeah I tend to agree with you there. A lot of people seem to like one or the other. I'm a prog fan in general.. Both are 2 different kinds of prog. Yes are just geniuses for their time and still are. You need to like Yes' sound.

@StatenIslandisBoring Were you at Jones Beach Theater?
Yeah, it seems many DT fans dont' think much of Yes.
I remember hearing someone sitting behind me saying that Yes is a shitty band or something.
I started out as a Yes fan in 1975. I listen to dream theater and I don't find it appealing to me.

i was fortunate enought to be one of those young ones in the audience at the LA Forum back when they performed this just off their vinyl record... i swear they must be from another time and space to have achieved such musical beauty and insight... topographic oceans was a revelation for me back then at 14 and still is today at 53 years old...

I saw them when Dream Theater opened for them in 2001 when I was 10.... At the time I thought they were boring...... 10 years later, I own every Yes album..... What the hell was I thinking back then...

Ladies and Gentlemen..the one and only Chris Squire on lead bass....
"How Fripp never sued me for that riff I'll never know"
Cause Robert knew a genius lift when he heard it ;)

Is that the WIZARD!? Rick Wakeman!!?

This is one of the best progressive rock bands to ever exist.
Anderson is a great vocalist and the writing is so god damn amazing. It gives me chill every time i heard this epic song.
