Beijing wants to make sure their territory will be secure when korea unifies, which is why they are making fake evidence to support a "chinese goguryeo"
This is clear to see, since old chinese dynasties at the time viewed goguryeo as one of the "three koreas". China only started to claim goguryeo in the past 20 years or so.
All respectable scholars know that goguryeo is korean

and then Chinese would realize that Koguryo is not a local of china.
