Lutheran Church of Hope Cookie Ministry

Alan Kinsey, West Des Moines, Iowa, founded the Cookie Ministry at Lutheran Church of Hope. The ministry distributes food and shelter items to the homeless of Des Moines, and distributes food to area shelters, missions, and half-way homes. I've watched this video a couple times now, and one thing I wished I'd have had more time to capture is the amazing amount of teamwork that goes into this ministry. Businesses (like Panera) donate food, people come in to set it all up, lots of different people go out to deliver (including families with little kids).

The "cold scenes" in the video were filmed at below-zero temps during Christmas, 2007--it was a difficult shoot. Oh, and yes, we got busted for filming at WalMart without permission :) At one point 5 managers surrounded us wanting to know "if they could help us?"
