A close up view and short review of this BCG by Spikes Tactical. For what it cost I'm a little disappointed in the finish, but if it functions well I won't be too concerned with it.

  • that orange peel and kinda inconsistencies in the finish is just natural and is with all of them, same with NP3 plated parts., dont look good, but work great., dont be concerned... often times the not so pretty stuff kills the best :)...

  • @MultiSr16 That's what I had heard later, good to know! I've been real happy with it so far!

  • The finish may be a mfg defect. I've heard of a few people having their finish wear off which is covered by the lifetime warranty...If i was you I would return that one and try another one. I've heard that when the finish wears and turns rough the BCG will bind if left in the rifle for an extended period of time without proper cleaning, which should not be the case

  • @lPrimalRage I talked to some guys who have experience with the NB coating and they said it's normal for it to have a texture like that. I've only ran about 100 rounds through it with the new BCG, but I really like it so far. It's real easy to clean too.

  • ..been wanting one of these for a while just don't know if its worth the cost

  • @MultiSr16 FTF. It would extract the round fine it just wouldn't pick the next one up. Most of the time it would get stuck on the feed ramp or something dump like that. I have a Spike's T2 buffer in there, but it's been fine with the new BCG. I traded the old jammy DPMS one off a while back.

  • @47MasoN47 what kinda jams was it getting?? try n go with a H buffer and a D-fender o-ring in your extractor, that will cure 99 percent of the cycling issues out there...

  • @47MasoN47 Awesome, you just helped make my decision then. That was my only reservation about the purchase. Thanks for the quick response.Subbed

  • @lPrimalRage Only reason I say all of this is because I'm trying to decide between the Spike NiB BCG and a BCM BCG.

  • I updated this video with an annotation noting that it has resolved the jamming issues I was having. The rifle still jams with Tula/crap ammo, but with brass it's working fine. Before this BCG it jammed with every type of ammo. I previously had a DPMS BCG in it.
