I w'l say orchids need 12 hours of light 12 hours of dark, avoid direct sunlight. That's how they grow in Ecuador.
In terms of light tray to model that and they will be fine.

very beautiful orchids and your video is full of good info. thanks again/ I have a very shady backyard. is it better to grow it out there or because I live in east should I grow it inside.
