I had a hard time finding an informative video on using 5.56 government issue ammo on stripper clips, so...figured I'd do one myself. Also, wanted to show what comes in a sealed Lake City 5.56 M855 ball ammo can. I prepared this for AR15.COM

By the way, I found more spoons in the second bandolier, a couple actually, so far I've found five in the can.

  • whats the difference between the m855 and the m193 i keep hearing about on ar15.com deciding on what round to buy in bulk for my storage just in case.. 855 is steel tipped to penetrate barriers and stuff right? wouldnt that have less tumbling ect then a regular round?

  • thankssomuch

  • @ptmccain just some helpful info if you want to really load them with out hurting your hands you have a perfectly good table right there put the clip in the speed loader. then with the rounds facing the floor position the striper clip just above the edge of the table then apply even force while you push the magazine towards the table forcing the rounds from the striper into the mag it would reduce the time to about 5 seconds including putting the striper clip in the loader

  • You can still use the strippers after the tab breaks off (it breaks off after 3 or 4 uses). I got the XM855 Ball in a 420 count, .30 cal ammo box without the bandoleers from Federal. Only came with one spoon/charger. Real happy for $140 from Palmetto State Armory. I've found the best way to load them is to put your hand around the back of the PMAG and then with your thumb as close to the extractor groove as possible, force down. Works pretty well for me.

  • Thaks for the how to...I just go a can and couldn't figure out how it works.

  • just wasn't sure now that federal is running it
