  • This song breaks my heart every time I hear it. A wonderful performance here. According to "Today in Oldies Music History," this aired on Midnight Special May 17, 1974.

  • his voice is still wonderful

  • @TheFishMiester The vocals are live fish boy. They're singing with an instrumental music track.

  • @TheFishMiester Why don't you listen to this with your ears open.

It doesn't sound like the original version===GREAT.

  • I love this song but this is a joke, they're just singing with the original recording !

  • Love this song!! definately a great song so soft and true to it's time:)

  • This is GREAT - thanks for posting it...........!!!! Sure looks like Barbara Ellis on the right, but the pretty girl on Gary's left is not Gretchen......... Anyone can shed some light..???

    Thanks again!!!

  • That is Gary Troxel, for sure, and the woman on the right is probably Gretchen Christopher (she kept the rights to the group name), but I don't think the younger woman in the light blue is Barbara Ellis. She pretty much dropped out of the group in the early 1960's to do other things and since this is around March or April of 1974, the blond looks just a little too young, since the original 3 were all within 3 or 4 months age of each other.

  • lol the 70's hit them hard

    this shit is funny

  • Wow- this is a surprise! I wouldn't have recognized them if they weren't singing. They look so different- must have been taped in the 1970s. They sound the same but don't look the same. Still, they sounded great! Ron
