This is my "Yo! Noid" TAS (tool-assisted speedrun). It ends at 19 minutes and 29 seconds. I played a "pacifist" style, not killing a single enemy, or enemy objects.

It's a TAS meaning it was played on an emulator using tools, such as savestates to undo mistakes and slowdown to allow precise input, to overcome human limitations. The objective of a TAS is to show the game pushed to it's limits, without the constraints of human skills and reflexes.

  • Great game. Took my 7 year old self forever to beat the game. Why werent you taking damage when got hit? Especially on the helicopter level.

  • @ganggreen1983 The character's collision box doesn't exactly match the graphics. It's a lot smaller, more concentrated on his torso.

  • You did kill a fireball when you were the invincible Noid. Around 6:11-6:14 you "killed a fireball and hear the sound effect. Plus, your score changes from 66320 to 66330.

  • You're the first person to notice that! I thought no one would :) (the flame that was hit during invincibility).

The shortcut is only faster when there's a pizza contest by the end of the level. If there isn't, it's faster to go through the stage than to take the shortcut.

  • This is actually one of my favorite games I've had on the NES, and I actually got pretty far for a kid, I was about in the 6th level. Its a tough game, I dont even think I can get very far if I were to play the game again.

  • If it weren't for "Game Genie", I would've thrown this damn game out of my window

  • nice game
