@jegspillerpiano I don't agree with your ranking of Helene Grimaud however I agree with you that even the 1.000th best pianist is a remarkable being. A pianist in full action is, according to a well known neurologist, a neurological miracle. Always, when I listen to a pianist and read the score while he/she is playing I wonder how a human being can do this.

@MrNewchange I disagree. That's kind of the classic argument used for people like her. I'm not saying she's terrible, but her skill is definitely way out of proportion with her success. On top of that, the amount that her marketing teams PUSHES her looks -- it's obviously a leverage point for them.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Looks are superfluous when it comes to music; and she certainly doesn't exhibit any unique or special qualities as a pianist.
