This song just gets better and better every time I hear it. Thank You GOD for letting me grow up during the time that this kind of good music was played on the radio!!

A powerful record still, to be sure. She was quite a talent, and on a bigger record label almost certainly would have enjoyed a bigger career.

Deniece Williams also did a nice version, w/Stevie Wonder on Harmonica!

We all have our opinions so here's mine! There's something to be said about Dusty's, Baby's and the Marvellettes! All are great interps! Dusty's , very caucasian very well done w/her own style! Baby, has that wonderfull soulfull voice clean, clear and crisp! Wanda's rendition had that killer Detroit soul sound of the era! The nearly out of place La La's just a that special touch! Surviving the mean streets of Motown for 60+ years I am a white expert on quality soul! Baby's style Sparkles!!!

She sounds like she's reading a script whereas Dusty is telling it like it is. Either way, this song is pure pleasure sung from both artists.

Music composed by Burt Bacharach

The Gil-Scott Heron/Jamie xx album did a tremendous cut and sample of this.

@wickedlittlethings No need to be rude but I think I can understand it. It's rather annoying when you go on a site and hear something you like a lot and then the first thing you see is that some tiresome person has said, "Oh, but so-and-so is so much better."
Awesome cut!
