I've been listening to a lot of old music lately and I've been drawn to the old 70's and 80's distortion tones of the electric guitars. Turns out a lot of those cool, rich guitar tones are from the Rockmodules that Tom Scholz of the band Boston developed to help shape his sound for when they played live and recorded. So, I bought the headphone amp modules and have been re-recording some old musical ideas I had and wow...new life has been breathed into some songs that I have been wanting to record. So, here are some song samples of things I've been working on the last couple of weeks late at night when my kid's are sleeping. I used the following Rockman Products...X100, Ultralight, Soloist and Bass Rockman modules. They don't make these anymore and this guitar sound is not on the radio anymore and hasn't been heard in YEARS!!!! So, please listen and I hope you like it!

  • The drums are drum loops for the first song. Then I used drum samples to create the sequence in the second song. I now have a Rockman Sustainor and Rockman Stereo Chorus and so much more control over the Rockman Sound going through an ART 351 31 band EQ through the effects loop.

Although the Rockman Headphone amps are great, once I started messing with the sustainor, I realized how much easier it became to play with different tones. I would highly recommend the Sustainor and Stereo Chorus.

  • Thanks! I'm having a lot fun with these things....A LOT!!!!

  • I was born in 1975, when he was around 9 to 10 years or so in the year 1984 to 1986, marveled at the sound of this distortion, I called attention to his tone, and here I am Brazilian guitarist Kiko of a group music used this new outfit called timbre, only after many years I was finding out it was this wonderful device! I bought one recently because I am a guitarist.
