there's alot of this style of "back yard" engineering, which is ok. but what happens when the machine "flies" apart and scatters over the neighbors yard? looks like single phase from the alt to the rectifier. you always use three phase. I would be curious to see some real stats on this machines output. seems it would take quite a long time to recharge that deep cycle battery using a 1kw inverter.. I guess that's why real systems usually opperate in the "hundreds" of DC volts to the inverters..
i built a wind blue altanator ,low wind, first thing wrong with it is ,they paint the rotor blue and it drags on stater ,so i remove the paint, and it spins much easy er ,but just not enought power,to charge a battery, they dont yous neo magnets, now it sits in my garage. till i get neo magnets
That is a 27 marine, I sell thos in my battery shop (the reconditioned ones any way) for 35 $. Buying new batteries is expensive, however going to your local junk/scrap yard with a multimeter is much cheaper. Of course you may have a battery shop similar to mine nearby too.
Hi Alan, I would like to make a setup like yours. It looks great! Very informative and simple instructions and to the point. But is there anything that I should know about the rectifier. I mean, should I pick up any one? And the charge controller, what brand and make is it? good work please comment back.
aaaa also have a look at large stepper morous the bigger the better rectifie and these are the best very low wind PMG at say 60 rpm the will make 12 volts so if you get a few you can run them all round the bottom edge of your big VAWT and up your amps with each one added
Alan have a lookat the new videos i put up on the tub the blue PMG needs to go much faster than its current set up so you will have to make a HAWT and fly it like an airoplane so it can get up to 300rpm or above or geared up from a much larger VAWT say made fro 2 x from 50 gallon plastic barrels halfed and stacked one up say ration gearing 1:10

I would like you to tell us what this produces at a 15 mph (22 kph) wind speed?? The best method is a belt driven speed increase style.
