My daughter Kaitlyn has been using my iphone/smart phone since she was 2 years old. Now a pro at using smart phones, and thanks to mommy, she knows her phonics and can spell with help from the wonderful apps that our apps have to offer. I love the iphone and so does my baby. Kaitlyn is now 3 years old and can read... wow. Amazing how technology can help. We do limit her use to only 15 mins a day :)

  • @angelsbeatlesfan lol... I know..lol... dosen't matter the word, just so happy she can spell it :) thank you

  • @lukygirl314 Now she knows how to build words with the basic skills I have taught her. I wouldn't recommend having your child use the iphone for more then 15 mins at a time as it is bad for their eyes and a bad habit to always be in front of the screen. I would also encourage them to want to read by reading to them (that's how we started). She also loves it when Krystal reads to her too. Do not push a child if they are not ready. When they are ready to want to learn to read, they will tell you:)

  • @prototype4o8 Yes, this app is called Build a Word. Kaitlyn has a strong interest to learn to read and has been asking me to teach her. So every morning after I drop Krystal off to school at 8:30am, Kaitlyn's school starts at 9am. So we have about 10 mins of reading, just a few days ago, she has been asking to use my iphone to play some of the educational games I have and I was amazed at how well she was doing. I used alphabet flash cards I made then thought her phonics with it.
