@frangipanii I can understand where you're coming from, but being aimed at kids isn't an excuse for a show to be simplistic. I mean, just look at Batman. That was always aimed at kids, but the themes were dark and complex, and it never insulted my intelligence like the Watership Down series did.

The animation always pisses me off too. It looks so lazy and ugly.

@DreamCatcher641 I get a wee bit ticked off when people bash the series - it was the way I was introduced to the WSD universe, as a kid. I mean of course it's simplistic, but it's aimed at kids. And now I'm older I'm able to appreciate the movie - which would likely have scared me shitless as a child - thanks to the foundations set down by the series. I still got most of the main themes from the show - the mythology and the story, and there's moments from the series that'll stay with me forever.

@thejking Eh, probably. It just makes me mad to see such a wonderful book and movie translated into this lazily animated kids' series. The creators just scrapped all of the meaning and beauty that the movie had in exchange for a simple, cheaper plot line that kids would be able to follow. If you liked the series, then good for you. But I just can't stand the thing.

@DreamCatcher641 arn't you being a bit to hard on the series? i have the whole dvd box. Of cource if you compare it to the movie it loses \. But i think it's a good translation from a violent adult animation film to a not so violent kids series. (then again if you compare it to other kids series it loses again. But sill it wasent that bad. was it?)
